The game-changing project in Everett: Waterfront Place
Waterfront Place Apartments, developed by SeaLevel Properties and Gracorp, is the first waterfront apartments in Everett’s history. The project anchors the 65-acre redevelopment that’s transforming this mill-town port into a dockside destination community. Designed by Tiscareno, this project represents the rare public/private partnership that has actually achieved affordable multifamily waterfront living in the Seattle-area market.
Our singular design for this market-maker referenced Everett’s history—one building with maritime influences, the other industrial/timber—while harmonizing buildings with both current and future surroundings; maximizing views; and encouraging pedestrian vitality. The project won in the category Multifamily Residential Suburban Development of the Year: More than 100 Units. Read more about the project.
Our firm was also honored with a second and highly competitive award: Multifamily Residential Urban Development of the Year: More than 100 Units.
Intended by its community to be a catalyst for revitalizing an aging but deeply-established part of Seattle’s Little Saigon neighborhood, this seven-story, mixed-use, transit-oriented development is the area’s first market-rate project and sets a precedent for future development.
Everything about Beam is per the community’s input and long-term aspirations to create a thriving, mixed-use community, including an innovative retail passageway with affordable small-stall markets that sustain nearby retail tenants rather than displaces them. The passageway, coupled with culturally relevant design throughout the project, fosters vital community connection and captures the essence of the neighborhood.
