AWARDS
NAIOP Night of the Stars 2022 Winner: Multi-Family Residential Suburban Development of the Year
The first residential waterfront construction in Port of Everett’s 65-Acre Waterfront Place Redevelopment, the 266-unit Waterfront Place Apartments project was designed to maximize water views, integrate with future retail, encourage pedestrian activity, and reflect Everett’s historic character. The two buildings received individual but complementary design palettes capturing two distinct Everett personas: timber and industrial history in the south building; maritime activity in the north. Street-level patios and stoops lead residents directly to sidewalks, enabling connections to pedestrian benches, plantings, and landscape features that enhance the promenade. Insets on the face of both buildings modulate the massing so as not to overshadow walkways and future buildings, while also serving as residential balconies. The integration of Port history, themes, and community goals ensures the buildings will integrate smoothly as waterfront development progresses.
