Kent Station

Carefully planned as a phaseable development, this contemporary urban village integrates commercial venues, a large civic plaza, and future light rail transit into a pedestrian-friendly destination. The first phase included a 14-screen cinema, a community college campus branch, and many retail, service, and restaurant merchants.

Tiscareno Associates was responsible for the flow of people and traffic in this underutilized area and paid diligent attention to establishing the right spatial relationships and connections for the intended circulation, massing, and mix of uses. Success also meant guiding the many members of this public-private partnership to agree on a concept that meets both pedestrian and commercial purposes.
