Cove’s award-winning 60-unit mixed-use design realizes a vision for sustainable living in Seattle's dense Pike-Pine corridor—and proves that green design pencils out, as evidenced by its recent sale for $894 per-square-foot. The design team found resourceful ways to squeeze 50,000 square feet of livable space onto a 9,000 square foot site, using strategies like carefully interlocking the layout of units, and integrating retail into the lobby and common areas with an interior mezzanine lounge. Three micro-retail shops are accessible from the lobby and sidewalk, alongside a corner restaurant, maximizing retail-sidewalk engagement. Sustainable materials are used throughout, from renewable bamboo siding to solar panels to greenery-planted decks and awnings, and water-inspired design features like the large lobby fish tank and undulating metal siding reinforce the environmental theme. Other amenities include a rooftop deck with firepit and a fitness room.
